Ms Ng Lay Ling is a community care veteran, holding a Masters in Health Administration, with extensive experience on the ground and at a strategic management level.
Her career with St Luke’s ElderCare (SLEC) began in 2003, managing SLEC’s rehabilitation services. She devoted the next 6 years in SLEC managing various senior care centres, including the expansion of rehabilitation services.
In 2013, she was appointed Assistant Director for Operations, and subsequently in 2017, she became the Deputy Director for SLEC’s Centre-Based Services.
In her latest appointment since 2020, as Director for Residential-Based Services and head of St Luke’s ElderCare Residence @ Ang Mo Kio (SLR@AMK), Lay Ling works tirelessly to direct and bring about alignment of organisation strategy with care needs and service provision.
Lay Ling is passionate about bringing transformative care especially in the NPO sector. A quality-driven professional, Lay Ling’s interests are in innovation and new ways of delivering care, especially in the area of lean care with good outcomes. She has also participated in national-level committees, taskforces and quality events, influencing local care models.
In her free time, she volunteers on numerous overseas mission trips to serve children and elderly ministries in Thailand.
Lay Ling was conferred the prestigious Healthcare Humanity Awards by The Courage Fund in 2018.
